How today runs.

Part 1 · ContextIn Progress
Part 1 · How we got here

How did we
get here?

This didn't come out of nowhere. Over the summer, the Communications & Engagement teams across the alliances co-designed a shared way of working — 12 interviews, 5 workshops. Every workshop started by grounding in the same values. Today carries that forward.

One Team, One Voice, Lasting Legacy
We work as one team — open, collaborative and aligned — to deliver trusted outcomes for stakeholders our communities can be proud of. Together we protect reputations, build strong relationships, and leave a legacy for the future.

Part 1 · Purpose & originsIn Progress
Part 1 · Why we're here

Too much has been
living in email.

We're Opposite, and we've spent months mapping how this program actually runs. One problem surfaced in every conversation — no shared source of truth, and too much coordinated in inboxes no one else can see.

Part 1 · The way forward

Jira is how
we fix it.

One platform where the work lives — approvals, decisions, correspondence and status, all in one place and visible to everyone. This is a pilot: we onboard the team, and we learn what to improve.

The six golden rules.

01
Jira is the single source of truth
Approvals, decisions and correspondence all live in Jira.
02
Every task has an owner
Tasks are assigned correctly and can be reassigned as things change.
03
Update your tasks as they progress
Stay current — a stale board helps no one.
04
Use the fields
Consistent fields let everyone understand progress.
05
Comments are the paper trail
Every decision and approval is logged as a comment on the task.
06
Jira becomes the WIP
The board runs 1:1s, weekly check-ins and monthly meetings.
Part 4 · After todayReview
Part 4 · From tomorrow

Start using it for real.

Getting startedThe best way to get comfortable is to start using Jira for your real work when you can. There's no need to wait until it feels perfect.
The askTry getting one task into the platform. It doesn't need to be perfect, and mistakes are completely expected. The goal is simply to make a start.
